Hiking to NAMO BUDDHA

May 12, 2007 Hiking to NAMO BUDDHA

NAMO BUDDHA

We guys went to NAMO BUDDHA on May 12, 2007. We started our journey from Jamal, Kantitpath. Actually we are planned to move from Jamal at early 7:00 AM, but we were 30 minutes late. We move towards to NAMO BUDDHA at 7:30 AM, we had so many nice views from our, we passes the road from Bhaktapur. At around 9:00 AM we reached at PANAUTI, well I have never been there. Thats my first visit to PANAUTI, I have heard about that place, well the city is very wonderful. I really like that place. When I reached I saw one ugly doll handing. Might be that was of some politician.

At around 9:30 AM one of my friend said lets move, and we will continue our journey by foot towards NAMO BUDDHA. We said ok, and we continued walking. I thought, it will be around 15-20 minutes far from PANAUNTI, because I have never been there. Well my wrong guess, we have to walk about 3 hours, huh!! can you imagine. Well we walked 3 hours.

Actually my one of my friend is prepared for social service. He brings a bag full of toys to give poor children. We gave all those toys to poor children; you see how happy they are. I found a kind of happiness inside me after seeing those children so happy. Not even the children, their parents were also happy. They were asking us whether we came from. We said we are from Kathmandu, and going to Namo Buddha. On the reply they just gave a good smile.

After walking 3 hours on those high hills, we finally reached to NAMO BUDDHA, we all were sweat. So we take some rest at the NAMO BUDDHA. We had some snaps at their.

We all are damn hungry so we need to have some foods, but the place is so crowdy so we can’t have food on that place. We walk upside about 15 minutes and found nice place where we can sit and have food. All the foods was cooked from home, actually we were prepared. We stay there about more than 2 hours.

About 3:00 PM we back to Panauti by walking, Damn we are so tired now. Well we have to reach to Panauti on time otherwise we couldn’t get back to our hometown kathmandu. Around 2 hours by walking we reached at Panauti. Then we visit few minutes at Panauti and have snaps of temples.

After that we back to Kathmandu. We all are so tired, I reached home at 9:00 PM. AAhhh!! This time I had a lots of walk.

Finally I we had lots of pain in our feet, my body is aching, but I feel it’s a very nice visit on NAMO BUDDHA. So peace place, nice people. I found one kind of happiness when we gifted the dolls to children. I am so happy to see smiles over their face. I wish I am a billionaire and I could bring smile on poor people.

Hey Sudeep! My friend why didn’t you let me know about this event before? May 12 i.e. saturday a holiday yaar.. i missed it, really….
Anyways, after reading this post and looking at photos i am feeling like you guys did a great job in the name of “HIKING”. I can’t imagine how does it feels when we make children face bright with their inner smiles.

I think we should visit to such places at least once in a month. In order to get rid of tiredness of boring daily machine type routine. And ofcourse we should introduce such packages like this time distributing dolls to children, may be next time distributing copy/pencil to school children and like that…

Hey dude!, next time don’t forget me to include. I am indeed interested to participate.
    Lets enjoy hiking…

All those gifts were provided by his friends from Singapore to gifted them to poor children. Well we planned to go somewhere again and bring smile on poor children’s face.
