Paint.net – Free image editing software

If you guys are fade up using those heavy size software and high cost software for image editing. And you guys are trying to crack the image editing software then stopped it. Now you guys can use free image editing and photo manipulation software named Paint.NET. It supports layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools. The size of this software is just 1.35 MB, and you can find lots of tools as other image editing tools. There are a number of plugins that have been made available, and that may be downloaded on our forum. These plugins add new effects and the ability to handle new file types.

Paint.NET. software is started development as an undergraduate college senior design project mentored by Microsoft, and is currently being maintained by some of the alumni that originally worked on it. Originally intended as a free replacement for the MS Paint software that comes with Windows, it has grown into a powerful yet simple tool for photo and image editing.

The programming language used to create Paint.NET. is C#, with a small amount of C++ for installation and shell-integration related functionality.

System Requirements

 - Minimum System

  • Windows XP (SP2 or later), or Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2003 (SP1 or later)
  • .NET Framework 2.0
  • 500 MHz processor (Recommended: 800 MHz or faster)
  • 256 MB of RAM (Recommended: 512 MB or more)
  • 1024 x 768 screen resolution
  • 200+ MB hard drive space
  •  64-bit support requires a 64-bit CPU that is running a 64-bit version of Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2003, and an additional 128 MB of RAM

Please note that Paint.NET. uses your hard drive to store temporary files related to undo/redo. Because of this, actual disk space requirements will depend on the type of actions you perform on an image, and on the size of the image.

Well Suman, I am not using this new tool for design. I feel much comfortable with Adobe Photoshop. This is a new image editing tool with lots of features like Adobe Photoshop does. You can easily edit your photos with brightness, color mixing, and so many. This is easy to use all those effects. Anyway try it .. and you will love it.

    Thank you !
